About Islamic Marriage

An Islamic marriage or ‘Nikah’ can be conducted at the Hillside Islamic Centre. The Nikah will be carried out by an appointed Imam of the mosque and the newly-married couple will be provided with an official certificate to show that they are married under Islamic law.

Please note that an Islamic Nikah is not recognised as a legal marriage in British Law, and the couple are advised to also register their marriage to have full legal rights under British law.

Requirements

✅ Presence of two Muslim male witnesses with a Valid ID

✅ Presence of the wali (the bride’s father or male  next of kin to the bride)

✅ Proof of address

✅ Booking fee
